Dele Alli exit confirmed as Everton and Besiktas loan transfer details set

Dele Alli has completed a loan move away from Everton, joining Besiktas until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The midfielder was one of Frank Lampard's first signings at Goodison Park, arriving on Merseyside on transfer deadline day in January. However, he only made one start throughout the remainder of the campaign as he worked towards gaining full match fitness.

The highlight of his time with the club undoubtedly came in the dramatic 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace. The 26-year-old was introduced from the bench with his side 2-0 down at half time, and played a crucial role in turning the match around in favour of the Blues.

Dele has been used from the bench in two of Everton's three matches so far this season, but was an unused substitute during the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday as speculation surrounding his future continued to grow. He was then left out of the squad that faced Fleetwood Town in the second round of the League Cup on Tuesday.

In total the midfielder has made 13 appearances for the Blues, not managing to find the back of the net in any of those matches.
