Railway lines between Abercynon and Aberdare are blocked due to a fault with the signalling system. Passengers have been told they may face delays, cancellations or replacement transportation on Tuesday, April 4.
Transport for Wales said that disruption is expected until 12.30pm and replacement buses will be in use between Abercynon and Aberdare. The firm said in a Tweet: "Due to a fault with the signalling system between Abercynon and Aberdare lines are blocked. Train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes. Disruption is expected until 12.30pm. Replacement road transport has been sourced between Abercynon and Aberdare. Ticket acceptance with Stagecoach."
National Rail added that the routes affected include train lines between Aberdare and Pontypridd, Cardiff Central, Barry Island and Bridgend. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Find out more information here.
