Motorists faced delays this morning following a two-car crash on the M8 just outside of Paisley.
Traffic Scotland warned those planning on travelling on the road that they could face delays of around 14 minutes due to the incident at Junction 29/29A westbound.
Tailbacks could be seen from the St James Interchange heading towards the Erskine Bridge.
Two cars are said to have been involved in a crash on the road around 8.35am and recovery vehicles were at the scene for around an hour earlier today.
Nobody is said to have been injured in the crash.
At 9.43am the process of clearing the road was still ongoing. Traffic Scotland tweeted: “M8 Junction 29-29A. Lane 1 blocked Westbound due to a collision. Traffic heavy in the area this morning. Approximately 14-minute delay.”
Then around 20 minutes later the road was said to be clear and traffic easing, with Traffic Scotland saying: "All lanes now running Westbound following an earlier collision. Delays have eased off in the area."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.35am on Wednesday, 24 May, police received a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on the M8 between 29 and 29a. There are currently no reports of any injuries. Arrangements are being made to recover the vehicles."
