Dejan Lovren rips Mohamed Salah after Liverpool star's topless Instagram post

Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah is at the peak of his powers currently and the Egyptian King has not been shy about showing that the same can be said about his body conditioning.

The Premier League's top scorer shared a topless photo of himself on his Instagram account shortly after rivals Manchester City completed a 4-1 victory against Manchester United on Sunday.

The image shows Salah to be in prime physical condition, underlining his remarkable upper body strength, but an old friend took the opportunity to give him a bit of a dig.

Former team-mate and close friend Dejan Lovren, who now plies his trade for Zenit St Petersburg, left a comment on the Instragam post from Salah.

It read: "Picture taken 20sec after your upper body session. Not Bad."

The striking photograph has been 'liked' on Salah's Instagram page more than 2million times in less than 24 hours.

Lovren and Salah struck up a close relationship during their shared time together at Anfield.

Croatian Lovren played 131 times for Liverpool, scoring five goals and left Anfield with both Champions League and Premier League medals.

Salah has amassed 48.4 million followers on Instagram but still has some way to go to catch Cristiano Ronaldo, who boasts an incredible 410 million followers on the social media platform.

Salah and Liverpool will be back in action on Tuesday evening, when they face Inter Milan in the second leg of the Champions League last 16.

The Reds hold a 2-0 advantage from the first leg and will be confident of reaching the quarter-finals.
