Dejan Kulusevski has admitted that Rodrigo Bentancur's positive mindset following his season-ending injury has left him shocked. A major player for Tottenham ever since his move from Juventus last January, the Uruguayan international ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Saturday's 4-1 defeat away at Leicester City.
A tough one to take for the midfielder and everyone connected with Tottenham, it will unfortunately be next season when fans get to see the classy midfielder back on the pitch in a Spurs shirt. One thing that is going to help the player in his recovery is his positivity, which is something that has surprised his Tottenham teammate given the severity of the injury.
“Rodrigo is so strong on the pitch but outside of the pitch he’s unbelievable," the Swede told football.london . "I’m shocked how positive he can be after news like that. He will come back strong and I wish him a strong recovery. We miss him on the pitch."

“He is a leader on the pitch and outside the pitch. We are so sorry for the team but first of all we are sorry for him. It’s not good at all," added Kulusevski.
"We are going to face this bad period, we are going to support him. When he will be back it will be so good to play again with him."
On Tuesday's Champions League tie against AC Milan and the tactical battle against the Italian side, he added: "We will have this answer tomorrow by seeing the game. We know that in games like this, tactics are not the primary issue.
"The priority is playing well and playing well in defence. Making good passes and making good geometries on the pitch. We have to follow what the coach says."
