The coach’s son, Jackson State quarterback Shedeur Sanders, threw for 272 yards and 5 touchdown passes as the Tigers improved to 4-0 in the SWAC.
Jackson State was up 30-0 in the second quarter of the romp.
Shane Hooks and Dallas Daniels each had two TD receptions.
Jackson State dominated the stats with 26 first downs to 10 for Bethune Cookman. It outrushed its overmatched foe 224 yards to 39.
Bethune Cookman is now 1-5 and 1-2 in conference play. It had to have four players throw passes in the loss.
