Defiant Rebekah Vardy says she won't bow out of public life after Wagatha Christie loss

Rebekah Vardy has defiantly vowed to remain in the public life, despite losing her highly publicised Wagatha Christie libel battle against rival WAG Coleen Rooney.

Jamie Vardy 's wife, 40, has said she wants to find "meaningful" work and is hoping to do something which "inspires" her. She also claims to have already received a few offers.

In her first television interview since losing the libel case, Becky, told journalist Kate McCann: "I think for me, first and foremost is taking a breath, you know looking at all the opportunities that I've been given and then deciding what's best for me to do."

She said she has been offered a variety of different work already.

"For me it's really important to find something that inspires me and something that is meaningful and something that I really, really want to do," she added.

When asked if she wanted to bow out of the public eye, Vardy said: "I did go through stages of thinking that and then I thought, I don't know, no, probably not, but you'll probably see me doing things that are different.

"I can concentrate on my horses now and the kids and you know, rebuilding all that kind of lost time I've had dealing with all this stress and stuff and rechannelling and refocusing and putting my energies into doing positive things now."

And it seems Rebekah is on a mission to restore her reputation whilst maintaining her innocence, telling Kate she feels "let down by the legal system".

"I will say that ’til I’m blue in the face. I did not do it," she told the TalkTV presenter.

A tanned Becky, who has just returned from her family holiday in Portugal, wore a designer cream tweed jacket, flared jeans and minimal eye make-up for the tell-all chat which saw her break down in tears.

The former I'm A Celebrity star reflected on her hellish three years - which started when Coleen publicly accused her Instagram account of leaking stories on her to the press in her now famous Wagatha Christie Instagram post.

The mother-of-five is still suffering nightmares after facing Rooney in a blockbuster court battle in May, with Mrs Justine Steyn ultimately ruling "Vardy knew of, condoned and was actively engaged in this process" of passing information to The Sun.

Rebekah will have to pick up the brunt of the reported £3 million legal costs - but says she has 'no worries at all' about the huge bill.

After the verdict, the WAG issued a statement after the ruling saying she was "extremely sad and disappointed" by the decision, and she did not accept it nor believe it "was just".

Meanwhile, Coleen had said she was pleased with the judgement and bears no ill will to Rebekah, adding: “It was not a case I ever sought or wanted."
