If the Hotline is any gauge of Gio van Bronckhorst's future as Rangers boss then the Dutchman's already well past borrowed time. A draw at St Mirren has Rangers trailing Celtic by nine points in the title race and many of their fans have seen enough.
Joe Graham, Garrowhill, emailed: "Sorry Gio but you have to go. I have backed you in recent posts by putting the blame on the board. However, after watching the performance against St Mirren, I saw no sign of enthusiasm from you or your coaching team at all. It looked like you have given it up altogether and are now waiting on your pay cheque.
"It seems your playing staff don’t want to play for you anymore or are confused with your tactics. It was a complete shambles and now nine points behind the other half. So goodbye to the league this season." Andrew Lamb, Fraserburgh , emailed: "I feel Van Bronckhorst needs to be given a chance to turn things around.
"He's missing a huge amount of first team players and he's being let down by some on the park. Glen Kamara worth £10 million? Do me a favour."
John Bruce emailed: "After another dreadful Rangers performance, I have to hold my hands up and say Celtic aren't a great deal better than us. They have the ability to slog games out and score late winners, but aren't setting the heather on fire either.
"Rangers will surely be returning after the World Cup with a new manager, along with several players from the dozen or so from the first-team squad who are currently in the treatment room. As the old saying goes - the only way is up."
Edward Fraser emailed: "I would just like to thank Rangers for the early Christmas gift of a nine point gap at the top of the Premiership table. Hopefully it hasn't ruined their Christmas as it has certainly made mine."
Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, emailed: "Ange Postecoglou's mantra at Celtic has been 'we never stop' but after witnessing yet another controversy over a VAR decision, it might be changed to 'we never panic'. I also worried that David Turnbull might be sent out on loan so I was delighted to see him finding his form once again."
Henry Moffat, Stirling, emailed: "Another game and another failed attempt to derail the Celtic juggernaut by laughable referee and VAR decisions. Celtic fans have made our minds long before yesterday's penalty that shouldn’t have been farce and are spot on to be very highly suspicious of what's going on. Celtic now have more than enough video evidence to approach UEFA and ask for assistance."
John Melrose, Edinburgh, emailed: "If Celtic do not make a case to UEFA they are doing our fans and club a disservice. This is not just about poor refereeing and there is a lot of historical evidence to back that up when we take it further.
"Judging by the thinly disguised words of our manager yesterday it sounds as though this may be exactly what Celtic are planning. to do. Enough is enough."
John Scott, Grassmoor, emailed: "If there's one major flaw with VAR in Scottish football, it's the fact it's run by amateurs. That said it's getting just as wearing listening to ex-professionals like Mikey Stewart whinging about VAR decisions on TV and radio.
"Get the ex-players like Michael and his colleagues on Sportsound to start running VAR. Hibs didn't lose at Kilmarnock due to VAR alone. They could erect a barn door in the middle of the pitch at East Mains. They'd fail to get round it, never mind hit it."
James Brown, Glasgow , emailed: "Chris Lowe from Yoker was having a Hotline rant about all things Celtic despite his own team being in turmoil on and off the pitch, and nine points behind the Champions. I wonder what he's got to say about the referee at the Celtic game on Saturday who allowed a Ross County player to remain on the pitch after receiving medical attention, what if that Ross County player had scored?"
There was also some disappointed Hibees left reeling from going into the winter break in eighth. Neil Renton, Edinburgh, emailed: "The way Hibs are playing at the moment under Lee Johnson, he has two seasons to save his job. Winter and Spring."
