Boxer Amir Khan is to finish constructing his luxury wedding venue in Bolton after years of delays, it has been reported. The 35-year-old previously unveiled grand plans for the project, but it was never completed.
According to Insider Media, the venue, which is set to create 200 jobs, is due for completion later this year. It is reported that Khan worked with Manchester-based Seed Architects on the project.
Initial construction on the site on Washington Road was completed in 2015 but was been rocked by delays and even damaged by a fire. The project was first hoped to have been completed in August 2020 before a number of setbacks.

In an update to the developments, it has been reported that a long-term lease has now been agreed with Khan, which includes the completion of the wedding venue.
The venue's initial plans including shops, restaurants, parking for 200 cars and a rooftop bar, as well as three wedding halls. Pictures of the project as it stands today have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to be finished this year.
Back in 2020, during the Coronavirus outbreak, Khan even offered the multi-million pound, four-storey development out to the NHS to help with hospital bed occupancy.
Khan previously revealed how a staggering £5m of his own money had 'gone missing' from the wedding business on his BBC reality show Meet the Khans.
