During cross-examination, defense attorney David Kolansky pointed out that the amount of residue found in the bag, which tested positive for cocaine, was described as 'minimal' by the witness, Agent Jason Brewer.
Agent Brewer confirmed the defense's assertion, stating that the quantity of cocaine residue in the bag was indeed small.
Furthermore, Agent Brewer admitted that the bag had not been analyzed until years after it was initially obtained by authorities. He also acknowledged that he did not conduct fingerprint testing on the bag and was unable to determine the timeline of when the drug residue was introduced into the bag.
