During the cross-examination in the trial involving Michael Cohen's testimony, defense attorney Todd Blanche focused on a crucial moment regarding a phone call made to Trump's former bodyguard, Keith Schiller. Blanche vehemently argued that Cohen's sworn testimony about the October 24 phone call was a blatant lie, specifically concerning the Daniels situation.

Blanche emphasized the significance of this falsehood, stating that it was not a minor lie but a deliberate fabrication related to the charged conduct involving Ms. Daniels. He asserted that Cohen's claim of updating President Trump about the Daniels situation on that evening was false and that he was caught red-handed in this deception.

Blanche then provided an alternative explanation for the phone call, suggesting that Cohen had actually contacted Schiller to address a harassment issue involving a 14-year-old individual who had been bothering him. Blanche argued that Cohen's intention was to resolve this matter and not to discuss the Daniels situation as claimed.

During the redirect, Blanche dismissed the prosecution's attempt to link the phone call to President Trump's bodyguard's presence on October 24 as an obvious and unremarkable fact. He reiterated that the conversation was about the teen prankster and not related to the Daniels case as alleged.

Blanche further emphasized his point by highlighting that Cohen had promptly followed up with Schiller via text the next morning after the phone call, indicating his focus on the harassment issue. He concluded by strongly asserting that Cohen's actions amounted to perjury, emphasizing the gravity of the offense.
