Defender suffers injury blow as January transfer question awaits Chelsea duo - Blues loan latest

Nathan Baxter - The Hull City loanee's season has been paused as the Championship breaks for the World Cup. The Tigers next face Trabzonspor in a friendly on December 3rd.

Lucas Bergstrom - The Finnish goalkeeper suffered two defeats with Peterborough United over the last week. Chelsea's under-21 side first inflicted the first time Bergstrom had conceded four goals in a senior match before Posh were knocked out of the FA Cup by Shrewsbury Town 3-1.

Jamie Cumming - The young Blues goalkeeper could do little as Portsmouth won two penalties in a 3-2 win over MK Dons.

Ethan Wady - Was missing from the Woking squad that drew 1-1 with Altrincham.

Malang Sarr - Monaco are taking a break from action due to the World Cup, and Ligue 1 action returns on December 27th.

Ethan Ampadu - The Welsh star put in a solid performance against Iran, once again in the centre of midfield. However, Ampadu could only watch on as he was replaced in the second half with the scores goalless, and Wales soon had a player sent off and a 2-0 defeat. The youngster, on loan at Spezia, will hope to help his nation earn a victory over England in the hope of progressing in the World Cup.

Levi Colwill - The young defender is on a break with Brighton's season on pause due to the World Cup. However, it appears his footballing interest has not waned as he took in the action as Paulton Rovers faced Sholing FC. The latter side took a 2-0 victory away from home, with Colwill acknowledging the win on his Instagram story with the comment: "Away day dubs".

The 19-year-old has long followed the side, with three of his uncles playing for the side and giving Colwill his first Wembley experience when the team reached the FA Vase final in 2013/14,

Henry Lawrence - The defender came off the bench for the final eight minutes of the FA Cup defeat against Portsmouth and picked up a yellow card.

Ian Maatsen - The Burnley loanee's season has been paused as the Championship breaks for the start of the World Cup, and he has spent some of the time recuperating on holiday so far.

Sam McClelland - The Barrow loanee remains out injured and missed Barrow's defeat to Bolton in the Football League Trophy. Chelsea has now identified his issue, and he is ruled out until 2023, with Barrow boss Pete Wild confirming the youngster has a hernia.

Baba Rahman - The Ghana international was able to provide an assist in a 3-2 defeat to Portugal and next faces South Korea on Monday.

Dujon Sterling - The defender can continue his return to fitness with Stoke on a break due to the World Cup.

Tino Anjorin - The midfielder on loan at Huddersfield has an opportunity to continue his recovery from illness as the Championship takes its break.

Tiemoue Bakayoko - With Serie A taking its break for the World Cup, Bakayoko has no fixtures to worry about until after Christmas.

Xavier Simons and Harvey Vale - The Hull City loanees' season has been paused as the Championship breaks for the start of the World Cup though they could feature for the under-21 side against Fulham on Monday. However, the pair's lack of involvement in the first team will give Chelsea plenty of food for thought.

Romelu Lukaku - Having missed out on the squad completely for Belgium's defeat to Canada, he has been named among the substitutes against Morocco.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - With the Bundesliga taking a break, the Bayer Leverkusen loanee has spent some time in California.

Bryan Fiabema - The forward returned from international duty for Norway's under-20 side but could not get off the bench as Forest Green defeated Alvechurch in the FA Cup.

Jayden Wareham - There was no action for the young forward in the last week, with his next fixture set to be against Bradford on December 3rd.
