It’s not just the Los Angeles Rams who will be missing two of their best offensive players on Sunday. The San Francisco 49ers will, too.
Already without Christian McCaffrey, who’s on injured reserve, the 49es also won’t have Deebo Samuel for Sunday’s game against the Rams.
It was announced on Monday that Samuel has a calf strain and will miss a couple of weeks. It’s a big blow for the 49ers, especially against a team Samuel has played well against throughout his career.
In 10 games against the Rams, Samuel has scored eight total touchdowns. He also has 711 yards receiving and 181 yards rushing, giving him an average of nearly 100 scrimmage yards per game.
The Rams certainly won’t miss seeing No. 1 on the field Sunday, making the job of their defense just a little bit easier.
