A dedicated carer was looking to buy a home with her boyfriend before she fell from a two-storey nightclub fire escape.
Katie Davenport died 13 days after falling from a fire escape at the back of Hey Amigos nightclub in Southport on Sunday, September 4. The 23-year-old was left fighting for her life at The Walton Centre, where she died on Saturday, September 17.
Following her death, Katie's sisters Lianne Clegg and Cassie Davenport both told the ECHO about how the care assistant was an A* student at high school and college.
Katie is said to have managed to achieve straight A*s during her time at Greenbank High School before moving on to KGV where she achieved A*s in her exams. After leaving college she began a career in the care sector, working at the Promenade Care Home in Southport town centre.

Lianne told the ECHO: "It's heartbreaking she's not coming home. She was a straight A* student in high school and college and had just passed her driving test.
"She had so many plans with her boyfriend Niall as well, they were going to buy a house. She had a cat and a dog. That night out has destroyed everyone's life. Anyone who ever came across Katie never had a bad word to say about her.
"She never missed a day of school and she was so driven and determined in life. She was just completely different to us all."
Lianne described her sister as "the most gorgeous person ever" in an emotional tribute. Katie's family, including her five sisters and brother, are planning to do a balloon release where she last saw niece, Ellie, and sister Cassie before her death.
Lianne said: "That one night has destroyed our lives and taken her away from us. We're trying to get as many people to gather on Princess Park tomorrow at 6pm as possible. Bring a green balloon. Her care home are also releasing 100 balloons from the Promenade so we're hoping to do it all at the same time."
