Declan Rice's future, 'interest' in Jude Bellingham and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United target Declan Rice will stay put at West Ham this summer, according to reports.

Despite signing Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo in time for last season, United were unable to strengthen in central midfield after Rice was deemed to be priority number one for that position. Since then, the Old Trafford giants have also moved on to other targets under Erik ten Hag.

That came with the Hammers digging their heels in over a valuation for the player. Switching their attentions over to Frenkie de Jong and alternative pursuits, United have now reached an agreement in principle for De Jong and his summer transfer from Barcelona is expected to be rubber-stamped in the coming days.

As for Rice, meanwhile, another season at the London Stadium is on the cards. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, suggests as much in his Caught Offside column.

Elsewhere, it has been reported in Germany that United could launch a sensational move for England starlet Jude Bellingham after Borussia Dortmund put a £103million asking price on his services. Bellingham has long since been viewed as a target for United and Dortmund beat them to his signature two years ago.

Having cashed in on Sancho and Erling Haaland - to United and Manchester City respectively - the Bundesliga side are under no pressure to sell him. However, with elite clubs from across Europe monitoring Bellingham this summer and ahead of future windows, it would cost nine figures to win the race for him.

BILD suggest United have revived their interest in the player. Meanwhile, other potential suitors for the teenager include Real Madrid and Liverpool and, as things stand, they can offer Bellingham a seat at the top table in Europe after United missed out on Champions League qualification under interim manager Ralf Rangnick last season.
