Declan Gallagher in Aberdeen troll as St Mirren star piles on woes with 'reject' Starbucks coffee jibe

Aberdeen's woes have been comically piled on following their 3-1 home defeat to St Mirren on Wednesday evening - with former Dons defender Declan Gallagher pictured drinking a Starbucks coffee with 'Aberdeen reject' adorned on his cup.

The Scotland cap left Pittodrie in the summer for Paisley and couldn't resist a swipe at Aberdeen after the convincing 3-1 win over his former side in the Granite City. Gallagher killed the game off in stoppage time with a header that narrowly crossed the line, but in the end It mattered not for Stephen Robinson's side, who leapt to fourth in the Scottish Premiership table with the win.

After a tough year at Pittodrie, Gallagher had the the final laugh with his header that sealed the game - and rubbed salt in the wound even further on Thursday morning, with St Mirren sharing a picture of him drinking a Starbucks coffee with 'Aberdeen reject' written on the front.

Gallagher's first goal for Robinson's men could not have come at a better time after leaving Pittodrie in the summer, with Celtic's win over Livingston and Hibs' failure to win at Ross County allowing them to go fourth in the table for the first time since the end of October.
