A popular Glasgow restaurant has issued a statement after it burst into flames over the weekend.
Emergency crews, including police and firefighters, raced to Mother India on Westminster Terrance in the west end after being alerted to the incident on Sunday, February 23.
The beloved restaurant is considered a Glasgow staple, with legendary chef Anthony Bourdain famously eating there in an episode of Parts Unknown.
We reported how police revealed they were called to a fire in the area shortly after 11am.
During the blaze, multiple roads surrounding the eatery were forced to close, while members of the public were being warned to stay away.
Following the blaze , Mother India said they "unfortunately had a fire" at the much-loved food spot and they would be closed on Sunday and Monday.
Now, the restaurant has announced they have had to cancel all bookings for the next two weeks.

"As a result of this, we have had to cancel all bookings for the next two weeks.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and we will update in due course.
"All other restaurants will be open."
The iconic Glasgow restaurant, known for its 'exceptional and flavoursome Indian cuisine, opened in the city in 1990.
