Dec Donnelly reprimands I'm A Celebrity stars for 'cheating' during trial

Ant and Dec both stepped into take action during Saturday night's I'm A Celebrity trial, accusing the campmates of 'cheating' to try and help Matt Hancock and Owen Warner, with Dec shutting their protests down with a defiant response.

Although he did very well in his eating trial with Boy George, there was to be no let up from the public vote for ex Health Secretary Hancock, as he was chosen to face Who Wants To Look Silly On Air, alongside Hollyoaks actor Owen. After announcing the results of the viewer vote at the end of Friday night's show, Ant and Dec had some big news for the other I'm A Celebrity stars, telling them to prepare to go to the trial clearing, as they'd be going to watch Matt and Owen.

They were all delighted by that announcement some of them had a part to play in the challenge, with Sue Cleaver the 'phone a friend' for a question that involved Coronation Street. Other questions included ones of the world's richest person and the famous landmark closed to the I'm A Celeb set in Australia. And there was one that caused a bit of a stir, when Matt and Owen were asked who out of Jonny Wilkinson, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Michael Owen or Andrew Flintoff had NOT won Sports Personality of the Year.

Owen was adamant Michael Owen hadn't won but, realising he was wrong, Chris Moyles let out a groan and Mike Tindall coughed loudly, in a moment reminiscent of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire's famous coughing scandal, which has seen been inspired ITV drama Quiz. Not having an of that, Ant brought things to a halt, saying: "Now then, we're going to stop there as there was some audience cheating going on," before Dec informed the campmates that Owen's wrong answer would be taken, before revealing the correct answer was Jessica Ennis-Hill.

Scarlette Douglas protested: "That wasn't their final answer was it?" to which Dec fired back: "It was their final answer until you all coughed." As the campmates reacted: 'Alright! Oohoh,' a defiant Dec replied: "Them's the rules guys!"

Fans at home were leaving Dec's shut down of the cheating, with one tweeting: "Dec shooting down the celebs hinting at cheating STRAAAAIIIIGHT away!" Rather taken aback by his approach, another reacted: "Dec you took the cheating from the crowd veh veh serious didn’t you?"
