Aaj Ka AQI is a new show aimed at fixing accountability for a solution to India’s air crisis. In the fourth episode, Newslaundry went to the residence of union health and family welfare minister JP Nadda on Friday.
The AQI in Delhi hovered around 319, or the ‘very poor’ category. Outside Nadda’s residence on Friday, the air detector showed the PM 2.5 level around 209 and PM 10 at 241 despite the rain. (Please note that the video accidentally indicates the PM 10 level is 158. That is the PM 1 level.)
What did Nadda tell the Parliament about his ministry’s efforts? And what were the immediate measures the minster put in place to tackle the air crisis?
Watch.
