Deborra-Lee Furness, the 68-year-old actress, is embracing change following her split from husband Hugh Jackman. In an exclusive interview at a screening of her new movie, 'Force of Nature: The Dry 2,' Furness expressed that this year is a period of evolution for her. She mentioned that she has been learning a lot about herself and is actively embracing growth and evolution.
Despite finding the process 'scary' and filled with various emotions, Furness expressed gratitude for the opportunity to grow. She emphasized the importance of friends, particularly female companions, in navigating through challenging times.
Last September, after 27 years of marriage, Furness and Jackman, who have two children together, Oscar and Ava, announced their separation. They highlighted that their decision to part ways was to pursue individual growth while maintaining their family as the top priority.
Furness is currently promoting 'The Dry 2,' a murder mystery film also starring Eric Bana. The movie was filmed in the Australian bush during winter, presenting challenging conditions for the cast and crew. Furness humorously recounted the contrast between attending the Met Gala in glamorous attire one moment and then immersing herself in mud for filming shortly after.
Other notable attendees at the screening included 'Blue Bloods' star Will Estes, Alexandra Richards, Lyne Renée, Mischa Barton, and Peter Brant Jr. Furness shared insights into the demanding shoot, describing it as the most challenging experience she has encountered due to the harsh environmental conditions.
