Deborah James styles charity clothing range as fund raises more than £6.5m

Dame Deborah James looked stunning as she posed for pictures to celebrate her BowelBabe cancer fund raising an epic £6.5 million.

The You, Me and the Big C podcast, 40, host initially hoped to raise £250,000 after announcing she is receiving end-of-life care.

She said the fashion range which she has launched with clothing brand In The Style has “taken me away from cancer” during the past months

Taking to Instagram to show off the range, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, Dame Deborah said: “For several months now, I’ve been working closely with @inthestyle on this really special collection full of beautoiful clothes that will make us all look and feel our very best!!

“This partnership has honestly kept me going & taken me away from cancer, and I’m so honoured to finally be able to share what we’ve been working so hard on with all of you!

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in every step in developing this from choosing the fabrics, prints and shapes to ensure that this was something you will all love and feel amazing in!

“I’m also really thankful to my family who have supported me throughout this journey and I have loved seeing them all wear my collection.

“I truly hope wearing this collection makes you feel amazing and gives you that extra boost to power through your day and remember just how incredible you are.”

She also said her Rebellious Hope t-shirt has raised more than £500,000 for charity.

100 per cent of he profits raised from the collection go to Dame Deborah’s Bowelbabe fund for Cancer Research UK.

James has inspired millions by documenting her experience of having bowel cancer on social media using the moniker @BowelBabe.

Earlier this month, the mother-of-two, who revealed that doctors do not know much how longer she has left to live.In the message to her supporters, she said her “body isn’t playing ball” and has now been moved to hospice at home care.

In her heartbreaking post, she said: “My active care has stopped and I am now moved to hospice at home care, with my incredible family all around me and the focus is on making sure I’m not in pain and spending time with them.

“Nobody knows how long I’ve got left but I’m not unable to walk, I’m sleeping most of the days, and most things I took for granted are pipe dreams. I know we have left no stone unturned.”

Following the news, James was honoured with a Damehood for her inspirational fundraising efforts.
