Death Toll Rises To 133 Across Six States After Helene

The state department of public safety in South Carolina has reported that the death toll in the state has tragically risen to 33 due to the impact of Helene. This brings the total death toll across six states affected by the storm to at least 133.

Here is the breakdown of the number of deaths reported in each state:

  • North Carolina: 56
  • South Carolina: 33
  • Georgia: 25
  • Florida: 11
  • Tennessee: 6
  • Virginia: 2

These numbers highlight the devastating impact that Helene has had on the southeastern region of the United States. The storm has caused widespread destruction and loss of life, prompting emergency response efforts to assist those affected.
