There are now rumored preorder details about the game, alongside a possible release date later this year.
However, one of the biggest pieces of information from the recent leaks is about the game's "Collector's Edition."
'Death Stranding 2: On the Beach' Preorders, Collector's Edition Leaks
A new report by the French publication Dealabs Magazine reveals that there will be two reported versions of the game coming out later this year, and it will include a "Collector's Edition."
However, only the details behind the preorders were revealed by Dealabs, according to GameRant, and the starting date for preorders remains unknown.
That being said, it is important to note that Kojima Productions will reportedly charge a little extra for the standard version that only offers the base game of "Death Stranding 2." It will reportedly cost $69.99.
On the other hand, "Death Stranding 2" may be setting up one of the most expensive modern releases for a special copy as its "Collector's Edition" will reportedly set users back $229.99.
The leak did not reveal what exactly fans would receive with the premium-priced Collector's Edition apart from the base game.
'Death Stranding 2's' Release Date?
The lack of information from the latest leak gave players too little to go on for this much-awaited game, but the good thing is they do not have to worry as an upcoming event is set to bring answers.
The South by Southwest (SWSW) 2025 event in Austin that is taking place this week is expected to reveal more about the coming game.
There is a scheduled PlayStation Presents "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach" Special Panel featuring Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and Woodkid, which is expected to reveal more about the game.
The panel will take place in Ballroom D on Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. Central Time, and it will also be available for fans to watch via its YouTube livestream through this link.
