The death of an inmate at Barlinnie prison will be probed by an inquiry.
Jason Watson passed away at the jail aged just 34 in February last year, after being convicted at Glasgow High Court in 2020.
Now the events that led up to his death will be examined at a fatal accident inquiry (FAI) to be held next year, with a preliminary hearing set for later this month.

An FAI is mandatory in Scotland when a prisoner dies in custody. Witnesses will give details of the circumstances of Watson's death and, if necessary, a sheriff will make recommendations after listening to all the evidence.
The preliminary hearing will take place at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, October 5 with the full inquiry scheduled to start on February 27 next year and continue until March 3. A full report on findings will be published at a later date.
