Of Stakeford aged 82 years. Lovingly adored husband of Irene, much loved father of Michael (dec.), father-in-law of Kathy, Adam and grandfather to Ava. Kenneth (Ken) DODDS

(Ken) Formerly of Newcastle City Police, and then later Northumbria Constabulary, passed away in Bolton Royal Hospital after a short illness on December 23rd 2022 aged 90. After having completed his National Service with the Royal Military Police in 1952, he began his thirty-year career in the Police, which included the award of the Queens Commendation for Bravery (along with Gavin Arrvold) in 1964 and achieving his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, before retiring in 1982. The commital will take place in Bolton on 25th January 2023.

Rosie (Margaret Rose) DOUGLAS

Peacefully in her sleep on 31st December 2022 aged 91 years, Rosie beloved Wife of the late Ronnie, a loving Sister of Betty, a much adored Auntie of Sandra and Phil, Great Auntie to Craig and Cheryl, Great Great Auntie to Caitlyn and Sebastian. Peacefully on 31st December 2022, aged 91, our beloved auntie Rosie, wife of our beloved uncle Ronnie. Remembering her never ending smile, cheerful, kind and loving ways. She shared a special bond with the Douglas family and now the last link to the 10 Douglas brothers and sisters has sadly gone. We'll miss her so much but she'll always be in our hearts.

Sadly passed away on 5th of January 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He will be remembered fondly by the many friends he made while growing up in Denton Burn, raising his family in Jesmond and spending his retirement years in Blyth. But it is his loving family who will miss him most, especially his wife Judy and sons Don Jr and Glenn, his grandchildren Ella, Nathaniel and Molly, and his sister Pat.
