Free-agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been a popular topic among NFL fans recently after he became available following his release from the Arizona Cardinals.
In particular, Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots fans have been scouring the internet for any positive news since the All-Pro wideout left their respective facilities without a new deal following a visit.
Unfortunately, it seems like everyone is going to have to be patient before we get an answer, as the 31-year-old isn’t expected to make a final decision until close to training camp. Truthfully, there really is no incentive for Hopkins to sign right now outside of maybe getting his playbook earlier.
However, considering he already has experience of previously succeeding in both Tim Kelly’s (Titans OC) and Bill O’Brien’s (Patriots OC) offenses, re-adapting to whichever playbook he gets from his two current suitors shouldn’t be too big of a deal for someone like Hopkins.
One thing is for certain: Hopkins doesn’t seem to be lacking confidence. The superstar wideout recently tweeted out how he’s prepared to make life easier for whichever wide receiver corps. he joins.

Truth be told, that is honestly the most underrated part about getting someone who demands the type of respect that D-Hop does. Say what you want about his age, but he garners attention every single time he touches that football field.
It could also be a franchise altering addition if it hits. Too many people ignore that possibility and immediately focus on the negative part of it.
Yes, it’s risky. But Considering he’s the only realistic option with that type of upside, I’ll take that gamble every single time.

His mere presence in the Titans’ offense would undoubtedly open things up for everybody else, and specifically when it comes to Treylon Burks, who would go from facing top cornerbacks and/or bracket coverages on a weekly basis to being able to feast on No. 2 corners whenever Hopkins is out there.
Then, whenever Burks starts to command real respect, D-Hop will suddenly be able to thrive against the type of inferior corners he has seldom faced throughout his career.
Not to mention, having a true tandem out wide to take pressure off Derrick Henry would do wonders for his production (see 2020 and the start of 2021), thus Hopkins’ presence would be a boon for more than just the rceivers.
