DeAndre Hopkins confirms Titans visit has begun with IG post

The Tennessee Titans are set to host free-agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for a visit over the next few days and the veteran has confirmed on social media that the visit is underway.

On Sunday night, Hopkins posted a video to Instagram of himself in the car and on the ground in Nashville. It isn’t clear exactly when the two sides will get together, whether that be Sunday night or sometime Monday, but their meeting is imminent.

The Titans entered the offseason with a major need at wide receiver, but other than a few minor moves the team has largely neglected the position, which has led them to this meeting with Hopkins.

Adding Hopkins would instantly change the perception around the Titans’ group of pass-catchers, which is currently led by fellow wideout Treylon Burks and tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo, but doesn’t have much else.

If he can be had, Tennessee will have to weigh the cost it will take to sign Hopkins, including any future salary cap ramifications that could impact a 2024 offseason in which the Titans are set to be flush with cap space.

But that same cap situation also allows the Titans to be a bit more aggressive if they really want Hopkins in the two-tone blue.
