Nottingham Forest remain keen to sign Dean Henderson as their number one goalkeeper this summer.
Henderson spent last season on loan on Trentside, impressing Steve Cooper. A thigh injury cut his time at the City Ground short and he still continues to recover from it.
There is hope he should be back in time for pre-season, but whether that will be playing for Cooper remains to be seen.

Man United U-turn
David de Gea reportedly signed a contract extension at Manchester United before the club pulled out, with Dean Henderson described as a "potential avenue" to becoming their new No 1.
Henderson impressed during his loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season having made important saves for the Reds earlier in the campaign before picking up a season-ending injury in January.
It is his performances in the first few months of the 2022/23 season which have led the club to try to sign him this summer, as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping department. Wayne Hennessey is currently the Reds' only senior keeper, although they do still have Ethan Horvath on their books but his future remains unclear.
Potential boost for Forest
The future of Dean Henderson could soon be resolved as Manchester United reportedly target Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
United are reportedly set to hold talks with Inter to sign Onana amid uncertainty over Henderson's future. That's according to Gazzetta dello Sport who claim Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio will meet with United and Onana's entourage "in the next 48 hours".
There is said to be hope from United that an "agreement will be reached" for the goalkeeper's transfer to the Premier League. The report also adds Ausilio "has already met" with United’s director of football operations, David Harrison.
Contract situation
Henderson has a contract with United until the summer of 2025. The club also hold the option to extend his stay for a further year.
£15m plus add-ons
According to the Daily Mail, United had 'lined up' a £15million plus add-ons move for Henderson to Forest if David de Gea signed a new contract at Old Trafford.
Henderson still expects to join Forest
Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is convinced he will join Nottingham Forest permanently.
Henderson, 26, is understood to be perplexed by suggestions he could stay at United, who are planning for the England international's sale. The Manchester Evening News revealed last month Henderson was informed of Forest's intention to buy him after they secured their Premier League survival.
Forest have mooted a possible £30million deal for Henderson, who is recovering from surgery on a thigh strain that has kept him sidelined since January.
Steve Cooper’s stance
The Reds boss was highly impressed with the level of commitment the 26-year-old continued to show towards his loan club while sidelined with injury.
Asked whether he envisaged working with Henderson again, he said last month: “Hard to say. I have enjoyed working with him, we have all enjoyed Dean and the personality he is.
"What supporters mainly see is when he has been in goal for us, but there is more to him than that. He is a real good professional, he really cares, he has a fantastic mentality of winning and wanting to be the best.
"We have really enjoyed working with him and we are grateful for what he has given us, and what he will continue to give us, because I’m sure he will still be around and quite visible. With Dean, he is on loan from Manchester United but he really bought into the football club and even the city, moving here and making it a permanent base for the loan.
"He showed he really wanted to be part of it, on and off the pitch. We have had great commitment from Dean, even when he hasn't been available in the last few months."
