Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson has explained how he saved Declan Rice's penalty against West Ham.
The stop was key as Forest won the game 1-0 at the City Ground on Sunday, earning the Reds their first Premier League victory for over 23 years. It proved to be decisive, with Henderson being on fine form all afternoon.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Henderson admitted that training with Rice for England helped him know where the midfielder was going to put the penalty. The stopper stuck to his gut feeling and it paid dividends.

His decision was also helped by Wayne Hennessey pointing in the right direction from the bench. "Yeah," Henderson said when asked if he had seen the gesture.
"Well I know Dec’s favourite side from training with him but you never know if he’s going to change it up last minute. I stuck with what I knew."
On the game and the occasion on Trentside, Henderson said: "This place is a fortress. The fans have been bouncing all game and they deserve this one. What an occasion, 23 years. To do it with the boys, with Joe (Worrall) there, working hard it’s fantastic. I’m so happy for this man as well, he’s waited so long for this opportunity and he’s been unbelievable."
