Dealz Ireland recalling 20,000 toy dolls due to 'chemical risk'

Dealz has issued a recall on a popular toy doll sold in its stores due to a "chemical risk".

The 'Bella City Chic doll' contains "unacceptable levels of a chemical that are classified as unsafe for young children".

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission posted a recall notice on Tuesday and said approximately 18,986 of these dolls have been sold in Ireland.

They said: "The risk associated with the product is a chemical risk. The product contains unacceptable levels of a chemical that are classified as unsafe for young children.

"The brand is unknown. The Dealz Product Code is 452987. The batch number is 2007. The bar code is 5054110024185. The batch number can be found on the reverse of the packaging."

Dealz are asking any customers who purchased the dolls to return the product in store for a full refund.

The Bella City Chic doll is being recalled by Dealz (ccpc.ie)

Their customer care line is 189 093 0843 (ROI). Monday – Saturday, 9am to 5pm GMT, Closed Sunday and Bank Holidays.
