A drug dealer who was caught with cocaine between the cheeks of his backside said it was for personal use.
On Friday (September 2), Liverpool Crown Court heard that, at 8.40pm on June 26, 2021, officers from Merseyside Police received information about a Mercedes being involved in drug supply around Sefton. They then observed what they thought to be a drug deal on Grecian Street, Seaforth.
Michael Conley, 46, saw the police vehicle and was said to have looked startled. He was detained and officers then searched him, finding a mobile phone and cash.

Conley claimed he was in the area as he was going to a female friend's home for the night. However, he was taken to a police station, where he was strip searched.
Police found four bags of white powder, later identified as cocaine, between his bottom cheeks. Conley then told police: "It's for personal use, it's for the weekend".
Officers searched his home on Melling Road, Aintree, where they found 17 more bags of white powder, also identified as cocaine. According to police, the overall estimated street value of the cocaine was £2,086.
Additionally, £772.10 in cash was seized. Though Conley made no comment initially, he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and one count of cannabis possession at the first opportunity.
Conley, of HMP Kirkham, Lancashire, had been sentenced to 30 months in prison in July 2021. Having previously been involved in "street dealing for profit", he had continued to deal drugs while he was on bail.
As a result, Judge Murray sentenced Conley to a further 12 months, to be added to the sentence he is currently serving. The seized money will be donated to charity Micah Liverpool.
