An unfortunate traffic accident in southern Mexico has resulted in the loss of 41 lives, according to a statement released by the government of Tabasco state. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning and involved a bus carrying 48 passengers that collided with a truck.
Tragically, the collision led to the deaths of 38 passengers on the bus, as well as two drivers. The driver of the truck also lost his life in the accident. Images from the scene depict the bus completely burned out, with only the skeletal remains of the metal frame left standing after being engulfed by flames.
Sources from the security department of Tabasco state, speaking on condition of anonymity, mentioned that so far, only 18 skulls have been confirmed, indicating that more remains are yet to be identified and recovered as the ongoing recovery efforts continue.
