The deadline has been extended to get entries in for the 2022 LeicestershireLive Business Awards.
Entrants have been given the whole of the August Bank Holiday to get their nominations in through the official website here. The final day for nominations is next Tuesday, August 30.
The annual black tie awards night will take place this year on Thursday, October 13, at the King Power Stadium, with tickets already on sale through the Business Awards website here .
Not only does winning one of these awards mean recognition for management, they are also major morale boosters for employees of all levels – something we all need in these tough economic times. The awards are co-hosted by LeicestershireLive sister site BusinessLive.
Nominations will be whittled down by a team of independent judges picked by LeicestershireLive Business Editor Tom Pegden.
Judges will review all the winners to select the one they believe has shown the greatest track record in recent months and years – which will be named the overall 2022 Business of the Year.
The overall winner does not have to be a large business – but a business of any size which has shown outstanding commercial success, employee support, innovation and creativity.
Headline sponsors this year are top 50 full service commercial law firm Freeths Plc and the University of Leicester.
The categories are:
Large Business of the Year – supported by headline sponsor Freeths
Medium Business of the Year
Small Business of the Year – sponsored by Global Payments

LeicestershireLive editor Adam Moss said: “We are giving businesses the whole of the Bank Holiday weekend to get applications in if they haven’t already done so already.
“We want the awards to be a real reflection of the quality of industry and entrepreneurship out there and we’re really looking forward to going through the applications and hearing the thoughts of the judging panel.
“We wish all nominees the very best of luck.”
