Dead model, 24, dumped on pavement after being 'forcibly injected with heroin'

The family of a model and aspiring actress whose body was dumped on a pavement say they suspect she was forcibly injected with heroin before her death.

Christy Giles, 24, was pronounced dead at the Southern California Hospital in Culver City, Los Angeles, on Saturday after her body was discovered outside a different hospital.

Her husband has said footage shows her body being dumped outside by a group of three men in black masks travelling in a car without licence plates.

The model and her friend, designer Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, were last seen on Friday after attending a warehouse party in LA.

While at the party, Ms Cabrales-Arzola reportedly met a man and the three were planning to attend an after-party in the Hollywood Hills.

Two hours after Ms Giles’ body was found, her friend was also discovered dumped outside a different hospital, Kaiser Permanente in West LA, in critical condition.

Ms Cabrales-Arzola, who had just moved to LA from Mexico, is on life support with no brain activity and with "little possibility of recovery”, ABC 7 has reported.

According to her husband, heroin was found in Ms Giles' system (christygilesx/Instagram)

Giles’ husband, Jan Cilliers, who was visiting his father in San Francisco at the time of the incident, described the news as “just so heartbreaking”.

He said: ”People share these amazing videos that they have with her, and it just brings back her energy, and I know I'll never get to see her or kiss her or touch her again.”

Speaking to KLTA, he said heroin was found in his wife’s system but claimed neither she nor her friend would take the drug.

"Hilda's toxicology report came back, and I guess they found heroin in her system, which is nothing that either of those girls would ever do, not voluntarily," he said.

A GoFundMe page set up by the family alleges that three men in all black, masked in bandanas, dropped off Ms Giles on the sidewalk of the hospital.

They also allege that the same vehicle, with the license plates removed, was seen dropping off Hilda at a different hospital.

Mr Cilliers, who has tracked his wife’s phone and accessed her text messages on iCloud, said: “I've got all the messages that she exchanged with anybody else that night and she was texting Marcela, the girl that she was with, at 5:30 saying let's get out of here with the wide eye emoji.”

Based on the information stored on her iCloud, he said he does not believe she checked or answered any messages afterwards.

He has also claimed to know the men who left with his wife and Ms Cabrales-Arzola, and claimed he has received messages from other women who have spoken about bad experiences with the men.

The fundraising page writes: “Since Saturday we've all received a number of messages from other females who have eerily similar stories, except the only difference between them & Christy and Hilda, is they survived.”
