New England Patriots defensive end Keion White was pleased with the team’s defensive performance in Sunday’s 19-3 win over the Chicago Bears.
The defensive unit consistently got after Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, tallying nine sacks and 13 quarterback hits on the day.
It was another big day for White as well. He recorded four tackles and a sack on the afternoon, making it his fifth game in a row with at least four tackles. After the game, White discussed the play of the defensive line as a whole and indicated that the unit is growing every week.
“I’ve been saying it all year that we are a young defense forced into a lot of starting positions,” said White. “What you guys are seeing is us figuring it out, and I feel like we are becoming a more cohesive unit week to week. I think the trajectory is on the right path and going upward.”

White has become an integral part of the Patriots’ defense.
His emergence will be crucial as the unit continues to grow and mature in the second-half of the season.
