It will come as no surprise to learn Manchester City fans absolutely loved Kevin De Bruyne’s performance in the derby on Sunday.
The Belgian was simply superb as City eased to a 4-1 win over Manchester United at the Etihad. Having put the hosts 2-1 up with his first-half brace, he then added another assist to his tally for the first of Riyad Mahrez’s double as the Blues swept their neighbours aside.
City thoroughly outclassed United after the break, with the visitors not laying a glove on them as Pep Guardiola’s side dominated throughout the second half. In truth, no-one could have argued had the scoreline been greater.

Unsurprisingly, De Bruyne came out on top, with a 9.1 perfectly encapsulating what was a phenomenal performance. United simply couldn’t handle the 30-year-old at his brilliant best.
Mahrez wasn’t too far behind, with the Algerian’s double helping him to a rating of 8.8. Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva also ranked highly, with ratings of 8.2 and 8.1 respectively.
In fact, none of the starting XI were given a score below 7.6, underlining just how dominant the Blues were. The lowest rating of the day went to Ilkay Gundogan, with the substitute getting a 7.2 – still not bad going for just over 10 minutes’ work!
