Day-clubbing for over-30s is a thing, and it's coming to Newcastle

Over 30 and reminiscing about those guilt-free nightclub days?

Back when you had no cares, no commitments, and you could sleep in the next day ... or not get out of bed at all?

Bed By 10 could be for you. It's a day-clubbing event run by the UK-based company Like it Love it and its target audience is the over-30s.

And it's coming to Newcastle in March for the first time as part of a 14-date Bed By 10 Australian and New Zealand tour.

"We run loads of different events such as bottomless brunches, a Shrek rave, country superstars and more," Like It Love It social media coordinator Jen Sykes told the Newcastle Herald.

"This is an original concept made by the team. We thought there was a space in the market, and we went for it!

"Our target audience is 30-plus however we have had a lot of customers below the age of 30 who have voiced their interest in the event and we want them to know they are more than welcome to come. No-one [over the age of 18] will be turned away."

King Street in Newcastle will be hosting Bed By 10 on March 1, 2025.

The pitch by Like It Love It is this: "Fancy going out for a dance but not keen on sacrificing the next day? We've got you covered! Bed By 10 is a chance for ravers over 30 to relive the peak of the 80s, 90s & early 2000s clubbing scene! Expect crazy visuals, confetti showers, Co2 cannons and more as our resident DJ spins all the club classics. Good vibes only! Our event is designed for those who love to dance, socialise and enjoy great music - all while being home and in bed by 10pm."

It's one that has seemingly resonated with many Novocastrians. Ms Sykes says tickets to the March 1 event are close to selling out.

"Customers absolutely love it," she said.

"They can enjoy themselves but also not worry about not getting enough sleep, as adults have things to do the next day.

"We have also had feedback that people like going to events like these because they can be surrounded by people who are the same age, which is quite hard to find these days."
