Davy Fitzgerald was happy to heap praise on Brian Lohan after Clare progressed to the All-Ireland semi-finals.
The pair have had a spikey relationship in the past but Fitzgerald praised the Wolfe Tone's man.
Clare stormed back from behind to beat Wexford in Thurles as they booked their spot in the last four and former Clare boss Fitzgerald praised the job Brian Lohan is doing.
Speaking on RTE's The Saturday Game, he said: "In fairness they are in an All-Ireland semi-final which is great.
"A lot of people would have said after the league this year that Clare were in trouble, they didn't have a great league.
"But do you know what it's about? It's timing it and in fairness to everyone involved, they are in an All-Ireland semi-final so fair play to them.
"All we want in Clare is to get an opportunity to get back to an All-Ireland semi-final and we'd love that."
And Anna Geary added: "That excitement is going to filter in to every club and ever community and you're going to see the whole place decked out and that's what it is about.
"Hurling is meant to inspire clubs and communities and you can guarantee every place in Clare is going to feel inspired."
Clare will face Kilkenny in an All-Ireland semi-final while Galway will meet Limerick in the other semi-final.
