The Davis Cup prize money for the 2024 finals have been confirmed ahead of this week’s extravaganza in Malaga, Spain.
22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal will be making his final swansong before he hangs up his racket for the very last time.
In addition to Nadal’s farewell, there is a rather sizeable prize fund on offer for the winner. The lucrative tournament is often described as the ‘World Cup of Tennis.’
Davis Cup Prize Money In 2024 Will See The Winner Bank £2.1 Million
This year’s Davis Cup prize money stands at a cool £2.1 million for the winning country. Typically, the funds are divided up amongst the squad members and support staff of that federation.
Most nations will include five players in their team. However, it is not unusual for some to call upon just four of their best stars.
The runners-up are set to pocket approximately £1.7 million with the losing semi-finalists set for £850k. Those who bow out in the quarter-finals will collect around £425k.

2024 Davis Cup Finals Competing Nations
Last year’s winners Italy will be the team to beat once again in Malaga. Captain Filippo Volandri has world no 1 Jannik Sinner to call upon alongside the likes of Matteo Berrettini.
Subsequently, host nation Spain will be keen to knock the Italians off their perch. The duo of Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will be boosted by a passionate home support.

Germany – led by captain Michael Kohlmann – have world no 43 Jan-Lennard Struff as their best hope of causing an upset in the Costa del Sol.
European rivals Netherlands don’t have the strongest lineup on paper. However, Tallon Griekspoor and Botic van de Zandschulp will aim to prove the doubters wrong.
USA, The tournament’s most successful nation heads to Malaga with a strong side. Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Benjamin Shelton all make the squad.
With 28 titles to their name, Australia will have their work cut out to make it 29 this year. Their highest-ranked player Alexei Popyrin is their best chance of success.
Completing the 2024 Davis Cup finals lineup is Argentina. The South American nation have Sebastián Báez in their ranks as they aim to cause an upset.
