Davina McCall fans praise 'phenomenal' TV presenter for 'amazing' menopause doc

Channel 4 viewers were quick to praise Davina McCall as the tuned into her latest TV show on Monday evening.

Davina McCall: Sex, Mind and the Menopause sees the former Big Brother host explore the issues that women face when it comes to the menopause as well as perimenopause.

The 54-year-old not only spoke to various women about their individual experiences, she also touched on her own and how she coped with the change in her mental and physical health.

Taking to Twitter, viewers were quick to express their gratitude to Davina for making the hour-long documentary.

"Phenomenal work by @ThisisDavina and team once again, yet it paints a diabolical picture of how much work there is still to do in tackling inequalities in #womenshealth #menopausecare #DavinaMenopause," one person said.

Another tweeted: "@ThisisDavina amazing documentary. Thank you. The brain scan with reduces oestrogen was so eye opening. Wow I used to be like that! I love science! #davinamenopause."

The documentary comes after a week in which shortages of certain HRT products have led to reports of some women feeling suicidal, and of being forced to ration or trade the drugs in carparks and seek solutions abroad.

Davina's first menopause documentary, Sex, Myths and the Menopause, in which the presenter also talked about her own experiences, was watched by more than 2 million people and resulted in 22,000 GPs and nurses volunteering to complete a six-hour menopause course.
