Australia stars David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne have traded light-hearted digs on social media after Labuschagne shared clips on of a makeshift wicket he has built in his house.
As part of his preparation for Australia's upcoming tour of Pakistan, Labuschagne built the wicket to help him practice playing against the spinning ball.
"In the sub-continent one of the big factors that everyone sees is the ball spinning big and then also sliding on big," he said.
"You always see the replays of all the straight balls getting wickets, but people don’t watch the balls in between that are spinning big."
In a bid to recreate those conditions, Labuschagne has taped pieces of aluminium onto a rubber mat and has been using the surface to practice his batting.
"The idea is the ball will skid on if it hits the metal fabric or the tape side," he explained. "And then if it hits in between in the rubber, it’s going to spin.
"From a batter’s perspective, I’m trying to set up here and work on how I’m going to play in these conditions – play for the inside for the slide, picking up the length, looking for balls to score off."
And Warner could not resist the opportunity to take a dig at his teammate, replying: "You need a hobby".
Labuschagne then responded with a dig of his own, calling out Warner for making dancing videos on TikTok.
"Thinking of taking up dancing on Tiktok.. thoughts??" Labuschagne wrote.
Warner was not the only one to give his thoughts on Labuschagne's training regime, with Shane Warne saying: "This is awesome ! #Noooooorun"
Michael Vaughan also weighed in, making a joke about the way Labuschagne fell over before getting bowled by Stuart Broad in the final Ashes Test.
Vaughan wrote: "Love this .. but be careful you don’t slip and get bowled on that surface Marnus .. Looks a bit slippery."
