David Walliams is said to have been teased that he could be fired from Britain's Got Talent in the near future if he isn't careful after yet more mocking of Simon Cowell.
Filming for the new series of the ITV talent competition is now underway, with auditions for the show understood to have begun at the London Palladium over the weekend.
The fifteenth series - which was postponed last year due to Covid - sees Cowell, 62, Walliams, 50, Amanda Holden, also 50 and Alesha Dixon, 43, return as the judging panel.
There's said to have already been a fair amount of banter between some of the judges during this week, with Cowell said to have poked fun at Walliams' 'short lived' marriage.
The comedian reportedly later called the record executive an "idiot" after he allegedly failed to recognise the England flag - known as St. George's Cross - during the auditions.
Walliams however is said to have been teased that he could be axed from the panel if he continues to poke fun at the franchise's creator, Cowell, as reported by the Daily Star.
It's said to come after the actor - who has been a judge on the show for a decade - joked about Cowell being out of touch as he wasn't familiar with millionaire shortbread biscuits.
Seemingly teasing about his co-star's future, Cowell reportedly replied: "I'd be careful if I were you. You'll be out of a job and end up a contestant on Pointless next year."
Auditions for the new series resumed earlier this month with Holden recently revealing that it was emotional to have a live audience for the first time in two years.
She made the admission to her Heart radio colleagues Jamie Theakston, 51, and Ashley Roberts, 40, telling them that she "cried" after walking into the theatre.

She suggested that this was over having a "proper" audience, as much of the previous series - which was in 2020 - featured a virtual audience instead.
Holden said it has been "two years without" a live audience and that it makes a "huge difference" to the experience. She said the atmosphere has so far been "electric."
