David Walliams reportedly quits Britain's Got Talent after 'vile' comments leaked

Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams may reportedly quit the ITV show after ten years after being forced to apologise for comments he made about contestants. It is unconfirmed if he has quit but he is said to be considering 'bowing out'.

The comments were revealed on a leaked transcript from the show where Walliams made reference to one contestant while referring to another as a 'c****' while filming. The comedian has since apologised for making the remarks he made during filming breaks.

A source for ITV has suggested that he may be preparing to leave over the next few weeks. He would prefer to leave on a 'high' after ten years. It is thought that he would focus on his other projects.

The source told The Sun: "David has decided to bow out after a ten-year run. He wants to leave on a high after a wonderful time. Being on the show has been a huge source of entertainment and joy for him and he is arguably the most popular member of the panel.”

The other presenters, Simon Cowell, 63, Amanda Holden, 51, and Alesha Dixon, 44, are all thought to be returning for the next season. However, Simon Cowell refused to confirm if David would be returning or not after the comments were leaked.
