Who is Georgia Tennant?
Georgia was born in London on 25 December 1984 to the daughter of actors Peter Moffett (known by his stage name, Peter Davison) and Sandra Dickinson.
She also became an actor and made her on-screen debut at the tender age of just 15 in Peak Practice in 1999, playing Nicki Davey.
The actress is perhaps best known for a recurring role as Abigail Nixon in the The Bill from 2007-2009.
Her latest project came in 2017, when she starred in BBC mini-series, In the Dark.
How did David and Georgia meet?
David met Georgia while filming for Doctor Who, when she took on the role of David's character's genetically engineered daughter Jenny in 2008.
Tennant (then Moffett) appeared in the BBC series Doctor Who as the Tenth Doctor's artificially-created daughter, Jenny, in the episode "The Doctor's Daughter", with her future husband David Tennant playing the Doctor.
Previously, Georgia's dad Peter Moffett (otherwise known as Peter Davison) had played the fifth incarnation of the Doctor back in the 1980s.
So, this is either an extremely unlikely coincidence, or sheer fate for the couple!
When did Georgia and David get married?
In January 2011, it was reported that Georgia Moffett was engaged to actor David Tennant and tied the knot on 30th December of that year in an low-key, intimate ceremony.
The following day, the loved-up pair celebrated their big day in style with a New Year's Eve reception at London's Globe Theatre.
At the time, friend said: “David and Georgia are madly in love.
"They have tried to keep everything quiet and the wedding is for family and closest friends only."
Do Georgia and David have any children?
Georgia and David Tennant have four children together and each have one child from previous relationships.
She gave birth to the couple's first child on March 29 2011, and called the baby Olive.
On 5 January 2013, Jonathan Ross announced, during a television interview with David Tennant, that Georgia was pregnant and three months later on May 2, Georgia gave birth to the couple's son, Wilfred.
Two years later on November 9 2015, David announced that he and his wife had recently had another baby daughter called Doris.
On May 22 2019, while appearing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, David announced he and Georgia would be having their fourth child together.
They called the baby Birdie and the child was born on 13 October 2019.
Edinburgh Live also reported today that David Tennant and his trusty side-kick Catherine Tate have been confirmed to be returning to our screens as Doctor Who and Donna Noble, just a week after fellow Scot Ncuti Gatwa was announced as the Fourteenth Doctor.
The BBC has announced that the comedic duo will be returning to the show as the Tenth Doctor, and companion Donna Noble.
