David Seaman has warned the Premier League to watch out for Newcastle building something special. Eddie Howe's side are currently sixth in the table after a solid start to the season, with just one defeat in their opening nine games of the season.
The Magpies have invested heavily into the squad since the takeover last season, but Seaman is also full of praise for the work the Newcastle boss has done with the existing players at the club.
Speaking on the Seaman Says podcast, the former Arsenal and England shot stopper said: "That confidence is getting bigger and better at Newcastle, especially in that crowd as well. They know they're up to something special and you can feel it when you're watching it on TV.

"You can feel it from the fans and the team is getting better and more confident. Newcastle is going to be a hard place to go to because they're climbing the league. There's no doubt it's exciting to see and see what might happen.
"It's getting the mix right. You've got a core of players that have been at the club and they know what the club is all about and you're using that to pass on to these new players. I compare that with what Fulham did when they came up and they signed a load of players and with what Nottingham Forest are doing now.
"You're signing a load of new players and bringing them in - it takes a while - but with Newcastle, they've already got a core of players that have been there for a long time and they're just adding little bits. Nick Pope's been brilliant and a lot of the new players have done well, but it's all gelling now.
"I've always had this thing about Newcastle, I can't wait to see them win something because that's going to be a hell of a party. Everybody loves Newcastle fans and I want to see them celebrating because it's been a long, long time."
