Former Leeds United goalkeeper David Seaman believes that Leeds United's players did well to deal with the amount of pressure on them in their 1-0 win over relegation rivals Southampton over the weekend.
Junior Firpo's late goal managed to find the Whites their first win in 10 matches as new manager Javi Gracia took his first game in charge at Elland Road which saw them climb out of the drop zone and four points ahead of the bottom-of-the-league Saints.
But despite taking all three points, Leeds remain in the relegation race as they sit just a point above Everton in 17th but performances like the one on Saturday will put them in good stead for the rest of the season.

"I've always said that those pressure games like that are always so nerve-wracking for the players," Seaman claimed on his Seaman Says podcast.
"It's because there's so much at stake. When you're going for the title and things, it can be nerve-wracking but everyone is playing well. But if you're trying to avoid relegation, it's obvious that not everyone is playing well.
"I think that's why those six-pointer games can be really hard to play in because it's difficult to cope with that sort of pressure. They [Leeds] did well to deal with that."
