David Seaman highlights Leeds United unpredictability amid fight for survival

David Seaman described Leeds United's 5-1 defeat against Crystal Palace as a 'tough day', and has highlighted their inability to break away from the relegation mire.

Leeds missed out on the chance to move five points clear, and instead sit in 16th place and two points clear of danger with eight games remaining.

Javi Gracia's first seven games in the Premier League have heralded 10 points, but the damaging defeat inflicted on them by the Eagles was yet another dismal result in what has been a difficult campaign.

Seaman has hinted that Leeds may find themselves relying on the results from teams around them, and has highlighted the unpredictability of the battle for survival.

"I didn't watch it to five, I turned it over at 3-1 and started watching the Masters. I couldn't watch any more," the former England and Arsenal goalkeeper and one time Elland Road youth prospect told the Seaman Says podcast.

"And then I flicked it back over, and I was like, 'oh no, it's five'. It was a tough day but Leeds have got Liverpool next. That's the thing with Leeds, one week you think your ok, and then the next week your back down the bottom again."

"You've just got to keep hoping that Forest and Everton keeping losing."
