West Ham United manager David Moyes admits he understands why Hammers fans booed at the end of their 2-0 defeat to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.
Goals either side of half-time from James Maddison and Harvey Barnes gave West Ham their third defeat in six days in all competitions, leaving them 16th in the Premier League table and just a point clear of the relegation zone.
At the end of the game, home fans booed to mark their frustration at the result. Speaking after the game, Moyes said he understood the reaction, but felt it was largely due to the high standards the club have set themselves after sixth and seventh place finished and reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League in the last two seasons.

“Well, look, people are right because they’re not used to being in this position, they’re more used to being sixth or seventh in the league,” said Moyes.
“Last year, probably at this time we were challenging for Champions League, we’d been in the top four for long periods. So, I can understand that. Our home form - up until last Sunday our home form had been really good.
“This week has been the one, prior to that our home form has been very good. I can understand, people want winning teams, want to be at the top of the league - so do we, so do the players. That’s what we’re planning to do next.”
