David Moyes has insisted Declan Rice will blow the British transfer record "out of the water" if he was to ever leave West Ham United in the future.
Rice has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea and he demonstrated why with a superb performance in a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United on Saturday evening that boosted West Ham's Premier League survival chances.
The 24-year-old now captains the Hammers and has made 224 appearances for the club since making his debut six years ago. But Rice has indicated he would like to move on in the future and, while West Ham have the option to extend his contract, which runs out in the summer of 2024, by a further year, the clock is ticking on their chances of getting a huge fee for the England international.

And their manager Moyes believes the fee would break the British record set last month by Chelsea when they signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for £106m on deadline day.
“I don’t know if I need to say the words, I think you can say the words if you watched it the way I saw it," said Moyes when asked about Rice's performance at St James' Park. "I thought he was a top player in the first half, he really was, he showed so many things.
“Undoubtedly Declan is going to be a top player. Undoubtedly he’ll be a British transfer record if he ever leaves West Ham.”
Liverpool were linked with Fernandez before his record-breaking switch to Chelsea. However, Anfield sources never seemed to suggest that the Argentina World Cup was on the club's radar.
It has so far been similar with Rice, which is in contrast to his England team-mate Jude Bellingham, who is on Reds boss Jurgen Klopp's transfer shortlist.
