West Ham boss David Moyes admits he was relishing a showdown with Rangers in the last 16 of the Europa League.
The 58-year-old was seriously impressed with the Ibrox side as they downed Borussia Dortmund 6-4 on aggregate.
The Hammers were seeded so they avoided the playoff round but now face a stern test against tournament specialists Sevilla in the last 16.
Rangers will take on Red Star Belgrade in the next round with the first leg to take place at home on March 10.
And Moyes admits a return to his home city with West Ham would have been something special as he talked up the Ibrox signature achievement.
He said: “I did (want Rangers), because I was looking forward to the prospect of going to Rangers.
"That would be a real tough game, Rangers did brilliantly well to overcome Dortmund.
"But great credit to them for getting through against Dortmund."
